The May Portal
Welcome to The Portal — your monthly dispatch from Earth Angel Super Star.
Each edition is a curated entry point by me into the energy of the month ahead: what’s moving, what’s anchoring, what’s calling my attention.
Star Report
First off, it’s Taurus season! Go look at your birth chart and check out which house is ruled by Taurus — that’s the area of life most affected right now.
If you have any planets in that house too, it means the Sun is conjunct your natal (whatever planet is in Taurus). So obviously, if your Sun is in Taurus, it’s your time to shine. But if you have a Taurus Rising, the Sun is conjunct your Ascendant — it’s an incredible time to be seen in a positive light and to make any updates to your beauty or wellness routine.
If you have your MC or beginning of 10th house in Taurus (like me!), it’s a time of positivity in your career and/or legacy. Might be why I’m launching The Portal now ;)
In general, because Taurus is an earth sign ruled by Venus, it’s a wonderful time to anchor yourself before the busy, kinetic, social energy of Gemini season. Invest in new routines that help you feel great in your own body — and treat yourself to something delicious.
Mindset
"Rome wasn’t built in a day" is very much the energy for Taurus season. As a fixed modality earth sign, this energy is all about working toward your goals little by little — and not faltering when there are pivots or obstacles.
Here’s what I shared on TikTok this week — it’s been resonating, so I wanted to bring it here too:
If your life feels like it’s in shambles — and you’ve been manifesting, wishing for better — that’s a good sign.
Because if the life you want looks nothing like your current life… don’t you think your current life needs to fall apart first?
It’s not going to be some instantaneous snap where you wake up in your dream reality. You have to dissolve what’s no longer aligned — your current environment, old connections, outdated versions of yourself — and shift into something new.
One day you’ll wake up and realize: I’m in the life I asked for. And the wreckage? That was part of the master plan.
Every time things fall apart for me, I remind myself — no, this is it. This is the path.
Keep going. You're not behind — you're building.
Reading
I love exploring new things, but I also adore an oldie but goodie. When I want to feel grounded or re-centered, I always go back to something that reminds me who I am.
The Gene Keys
This is essentially a textbook I return to again and again. My first encounter with the Gene Keys was a couple of years ago — it maps out energetic patterns in your DNA based on your birth.
There are some pretty interesting revelations in there, and every part of my profile is spot-on IMO. Like any other system that helps you understand your energy (Myers-Briggs, Human Design, astrology), this one’s great to come back to when you want a little clarity on how you’re wired and what you actually need.
If you love deep dives into personality blueprints and self-awareness tools, you’ll definitely be into this.
Health
Right now, I’m prioritizing nourishment, warmth, and little luxuries that support my nervous system.
Pique
I’m obsessed with this brand right now. A few weeks ago at Erewhon in Venice, I had a long convo with a supplements associate about what’s hot right now. She immediately pointed me toward Pique, and I picked up a few packets of their Beauty Electrolyte and Nandaka.
I especially love how Nandaka tastes in the morning as a coffee replacement — magical, earthy, warm, cozy, but still alert.
I just ordered their Sun Goddess Matcha and will report back on how I like it next month.
Home
My environment always sets the tone for the way I feel — and for me, scent is everything.
August & Piers “Saint” Candle
Candle connoisseur is an understatement for me. I’ve tried them all — Byredo, Diptyque, Le Labo — but when I walked into the Goop store on Bond Street and saw August & Piers, I was smitten.
The white ceramic design? Gorgeous. But the scent Saint was game over.
Described as “a scent from the heavens for a true angel” (literally — it’s on the box), it’s a blend of orange blossom, cassis, musk, and my all-time favorite: fig. It’s rich, soft, and lingers beautifully. Truly magic.
Ritual
The perfect crystals for meditation this month — as an homage to Taurus/Venus themes — are the always-true Rose Quartz and Tiger’s Eye.
I have a huge chunk of Rose Quartz that I keep in my shower since it’s waterproof, and the shower is such a good place to get intuitive downloads, unwind, and do a short meditation.
Rose Quartz is traditionally linked to beauty, but it also holds the frequency of love. It’s an amazing anchor to remind yourself to love yourself — and to maybe even draw love toward you, too.
To balance out the soft, feminine energy of Rose Quartz, I love keeping Tiger’s Eye on me — I’ve had a little sphere tucked in my Dior wallet forever. Tiger’s Eye brings vitality, strength, and often financial blessings to whoever carries or wears it. Something we can all use more of!
Mantra
All mantras are best done in front of the mirror, gazing into your own eyes — as if to speak directly to your soul.
"Everything you interact with is beautiful, if you believe it so."
See you in the June Portal —
anchor in, ground, and trust what’s unfolding.
Love you,
Kelly
